Media Bias on Guns: CBS’ Elementary on not liking guns, how the mere presence of guns lead to violence, to the benefits of gun buybacks

This segment of Elementary has all sorts of biases against guns: on not liking guns, how the mere presence of guns lead to violence, to the benefits of gun buybacks.

Evil Tech billionaire Odin Reichenbach: I think that you should put that down. You don’t believe in guns and so we both …
Sherlock Holmes: You shoveled some money to the gun buyback program in Watson’s name. Back then I thought that we both might be kindred spirits.
Both aware of the danger that these things represent.
They make it too easy to give into one’s baser instincts. To settle for a violent solution.

My liberal friend explains it’s only to be expected, as gun owners are in the minority and the majority look to drive their perspectives in the public forum. Creating fiction with fictitious facts about guns, violence and gun laws just seems reasonable to liberals I guess.

Gun ownership in a minority? With nearly 400 million firearms in a population of a little over 300 million in the US, I had hoped we were in the majority? (My numbers came from Google)

The line that drove me up the wall in this episode, and any time I hear an ignorant liberal say it, is the contention that lax gun laws in other areas are the reason there’s so much gun violence in liberal-controlled areas with excessive gun laws. If lax gun laws were THE problem, there’d be no one left alive in the areas with so-called lax gun laws.

THE problem is the repressive anti-freedom socialist regimes based on big government and no personal responsibility expected of nor allowed by an over-controlling totalitarian political system and overpopulation. “When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe.” ~ Thomas Jefferson.
